EBP Open Mornings
New dates for next academic year,
2006 / 7!

The Newspaper
Education Trust, (The NET), based at West Ferry Printers, the largest
newspaper print work
in Europe, is delighted to invite key members of staff from your EBP,
to one of our Open Mornings.
These are being held from 9.30am until 12 midday on the following dates:

Wednesday 9 May 2007

Gifted
and Talented Open Morning
Following
the successful launch of the Primary Gifted and Talented programme and
continued
Secondary programmes on 16 June, booking forms have now been sent out
to schools across London. If you would like your school to take part,

For Primary
schools, up to 10 children can be 'super-journalists'
for a three hour session: 9 - 12 midday or 12.30 - 3.30 p.m. Please

schools, 10 students will face the challenge of putting together a newspaper
publication within deadline and an assumed budget of a £1,000! Please

Tower
Hamlets Literacy Conference
On 13 July,
Fay and Anna went to the Tower Hamlets Literacy Conference for teachers
at
the Idea Store, Canary Wharf.
We met teachers from many Secondary schools in Tower Hamlets,
to renew old contacts and make new ones too! We would like to thank our
hosts,
Francine McMahon and Emma Page from Tower Hamlets.
