Our brilliant funders, and how we are funded ...

In January 2006, The NET revised its funding strategy to gain greater independence from West Ferry Printers, and stand on its own two feet. West Ferry Printers has always been a great supporter of The NET, but was no longer able to commit as much funding.
The NET is a totally separate company and must find ways to pay for revenue costs
(staff salaries, heating, lighting, ink toners, paper and more).

The last fund raising drive to enable us to buy computer equipment was in 2000, so our PC's are now struggling to cope with the daily pressure. We have submitted a funding application to the Educational charity of the Stationers and Newspaper Makers Company, which will enable all of the equipment to be replaced. Come back in May to see how we're doing .....

We have always strived to be a role model to schools in showing them the very latest in technology - being one step ahead brings new schools to the programme!
Were it not for the generosity and commitment of our sponsors, and their belief in the work that we do, thousands of children would not have the opportunity to be a journalist for the day.

We are endebted to the following companies who have generously supported our appeal.

Without the commitment of those listed below The NET could not provide an advanced newsroom facility supporting key literacy and ICT skills.

Our major sponsors for revenue funding are:

The Telegraph Limited

Guardian Newspapers Limited

Without these newspaper groups there would be no staff to teach the children, lead guided tours, keep our accounts up to date and more!

Our biggest thanks goes to West Ferry Printers Ltd, also a major revenue sponsor, for having the vision to back the project from the start, loaning us the space to run the project and for invaluable support from the IT Department.
